Daily Work Experience
April 13, 2017 Opening Weekend.
On April 13 it was opening weekend in Columbus for the Clippers. They hosted the Louisville Bats the Triple-A affiliate for the Cincinnati Reds. The Clippers were hosting them for a four game series through the weekend before they went on the road. I arrived to the ball park around four in the afternoon considering I was still at school. i arrived and we started to cook pre-game before the game for the players which usually consists of a light meal to give the players a little energy for the game. As the players got ready for the game due to it being the first game I walked around with all the bat boys and gave them their game duties and responsibilities for before, during, and after the game. After this I proceeded to collect any batting practice loops that the players had and towels they used to shower before the game to wash them to be ready for post-game. The Clippers went on to fall to the Bats 11-4 in a tough loss. After the game we have a post game spread set up for the players and coaches that is usually pretty heavy and catered in. These meals are pre-ordered about a week in advance. We will then go on to wash all of the uniforms and personal clothing that they wore during the game and hang it back in the lockers for the players once they are all gone from the clubhouse. We clean up the clubhouse and do all the dishes and clean all the bathrooms and restock what needs to be stocked from throughout the day. Once we complete all of these tasks the day is over and we leave.
April 14, 2017. Opening Weekend.
I drove back to school the night before and went to my morning classes and proceeded to drive back down to Columbus for the weekend series vs the Bats. I got into town around 3 and proceeded to cook a pre-game meal for the players. The Indians started the day while I was driving down by making a few player transactions. They Recalled Nick Goody from Columbus and optioned down Shawn Armstrong. When this happens we are to pack up all of the players belongings who are leaving and get them ready to go up to Cleveland. Then we are to clear that locker space and get it ready for the player coming down and unpack all of there personal game equipment into their locker. During the game we continued to prep everything for post-game and do all of the players laundry and towels to be ready. The Clippers fought hard but again fell to the Bats 5-3 at home. After the game we continued to do all the players game uniforms and personal loops they wore during the game. Once we were done cleaning and getting everything done for the following day we left and returned back early in the morning to continue to get thing ready for operation for the following day.
April 15, 2017. Opening Weekend.
-We started the day finishing up some of the duties we didn't get finish the night before. As the players started to funnel we continued to do our daily game duties as in setting up the dugout for the players, putting all of their equipment out that they need for the game. On this particular day we chose to make some Grilled Cheese and soup for the players pre-game meal. It was a chilly day and we wanted to make something healthy and warm for the guys to play their best. During the game it was a hard fought battle but the Clippers unfortunately they fell to the Bats 4-2. For post-game meal we had Carrabas catered in for the players that included Chicken, Potatoes, Pasta and salad. We continued to clean everything and straighten up the locker room for everybody to feel as if they were at home while at the field.
April 16, 2017. Move Out Day.
Sunday is usually move out day for the team. also it is usually a day game. Meaning that the prior night we stayed at the stadium because we would not be getting done until two in the morning and having to return back to the stadium around seven in the morning. So we stayed and got ready in the morning at the stadium. Once we were ready we went out and made a few runs for players getting them certain items for the road trip that they needed. While one person was doing that the others were making breakfast for the players and prepping extra gear that needed to go on the road trip. The clippers ended their losing stump by beating the Bats 8-0 in a great overall team win. While the game was going on we were prepping post game which is usually something quick such as Qdoba because we need to get the players on the road as fast as possible after the game. Also we are loading personal luggage the players were taking on the road trip with them on the buses. Also, we were filling up the buses with drinks for the road for the players. Once the game is over we have to load up all players game equipment into the bus, training room equipment, along with coaches equipment that is needed for the road trip. This entire process usually takes about an hour. It is very quick and very stressful not to forget any of the players personal belongings they want to take on the trip. Once this hour is up and the players are on the road we then move players cars out of the player lot and into a parking garage that is locked up so that the players cars are safe and not getting damaged for the time that they are gone. Once this process is over we clean up the clubhouse and head home shortly after.
April 23, 2017. Move In Day.
On this day the Clippers were in Buffalo on their final day of the road trip. Depending on the location they are coming back from would determine when we would come in to the stadium. The previous day there was a roster move. The Cleveland Indians had taken second basemen Jason Kipnis off of the 10-day DL for a hamstring injury and options infielder Yandy Diaz back down to Columbus. The team unfortunately fell to Buffalo 4-5. The team usually gets an hour after the game to get on the bus and head back home for the home stand. The team was getting back pretty late around 2 am. When this happens we usually show up to the stadium about 11 PM at night to move the players cars back to the stadium as well as put parking passes in the players cars for the upcoming week. We also prep some stuff in the clubhouse to get ready for the move in as well as the week ahead. Once all fo this was done we waited around for the team to get back. We moved the team in and usually move in's take about 3 hours getting all of the gear back in the right places for all of the players. We got off around 5. The following day was an off day which meant that I could go home and sleep for a little bit. Usually on the off day we can come in and do a few things like going to the store and buying food for the week along with drinks for the clubhouse. Then to end the day the clubhouse crew would play some golf with the players somewhere in the city.
April 25, 2017. Tough Day On The Job.
We were back in action for another home-stand with Lehigh Valley the Triple-A affiliate of the Phillies. We showed up around 11 in the morning to get things ready game time. Players started showing up a little after one to start their work for the game, such as treatment, workouts, and batting practice. throughout the day we did some runs for food for some of the guys and different errands that they needed taken care of. Around 3:30 we started prepping pre game which happened to be chicken and steak quesadillas, along with chicken vegetable soup. While that was happening the players came back in to start eating and we started to collect all of their batting practice gear to wash it as they started to get ready for the game. Since it was the beginning of the year a lot of new bat boys were coming and starting to work, I was still in charge of showing them the proper routine to take before, during, and after the game. Once the game started we continued to hang up the players personal items and made any runs the players needed again. Also we prepared for post-game meal that happened to be the caterer for the night which usually was whatever they provided and decided to make the players. The clippers unfortunately fell to the Ironpigs 8-5 as the clippers continued to struggle to start the season. After the game we cleaned up and did our nightly duties that we had to do to prepare for the next day.
April 26, 2017. Back On Track.
We returned back to the stadium around 11:30 the next day to finish up some things and clean up the rest of the clubhouse and continued to run errands throughout the day until batting practice when we started to prep and cook pre-game. Today we decided to make Italian sausages and some brussel sprouts for the players. The players started to funnel in and we continued to do their personal laundry throughout the start of game time. The game started at 7:05 and once the game started on Wednesday we had a special deal on steaks. So our post-game spread was steaks, mushrooms and onions, rice, green beans, rolls, and salad for the players and i would pick it up and bring it back to the stadium. The Clippers got back on track and won the game 3-1. After the game it was a better vibe in the clubhouse and the guys usually stay a little bit longer and hang out in the clubhouse. As they were hanging out we collected uniforms and treated them so they were clean for the following day. Also we would do our annual nightly duties before we left and returned the following morning to continue to take care of the players.
April 27, 2017. Small Setback.
The following day we came in a little later around 12 due to the players staying a little later and coming in a little later the following day. We did a few things to get the game day stuff ready for the day. The players started to funnel in around 1:30-2:00. We started to make pre-game around 3:30 like the same as everyday. Today we were preparing grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with some tomato soup on the side. as the players came in from batting practice we continued to take care of their personal items through the start of game time. As the game was going on we cleaned up the clubhouse and also prepped the post-game food which was also the caterer again. The clippers struggled again and fell to the Ironpigs 7-4. After the game we continued to do our post- game activities such as clean the clubhouse, the uniforms, shoes, the training room, and the bathrooms throughout the night. We also cleaned up the post-game spread to finish up the night.
April 28, 2017. Mother Nature.
On this day it was very interesting. We were expecting some in-climate weather throughout the day so it was a huge question mark if the game will even be played or not. That usually slows up our game day preparation. But we have to carry on until the Gm of the ball club decides if the game needs to be canceled or not. Of course we still made pre-game on this day which happened to be italian subs and some mac and cheese. Around five thirty we started to prep the dugout even though the weather was not letting up due to the fact that we had not heard anything yet. around six that night the GM had decided with the head grounds keeper that the weather and the field were not going to be safe for players to play on. Once this happens players typically get showered and leave quickly due to having the rest of the night to do what they want typically get some rest because baseball is a long season and the players do not get many off days. As that is happening we call whoever was bringing food for the post-game and cancel the meal before it gets to the stadium. We clean up all of the game day materials. We also take care of our nightly duties that would happen right after the game. The interesting part comes in when a game is canceled. This means that the following day will result in a double header of two games that last 7 innings.
April 29, 2017. Long Day Ahead.
On this day due to the weather the previous day not allowing us to play will result in this day to be a double header. During a double header day the first game is typically around four in the afternoon with a thirty minute break in-between. This allows the players to get a quick snack and for them to change uniforms for the second day. This will result in a busy day for our crew. We still show up around 11 in the morning because players will not arrive until later in the day with no batting practice being taken. Only the cage would be open for players that wanted to work some things out before the game. For today we didn't make pre-game. We went and picked up Chick-fil-a for the players. This made it easier for us to clean up the materials and focus on other things throughout the day. The clipper then played the first game and fell to a new team that had come into town the Charlotte Knights 6-3. During this time we have the concession stnads make the meal for in-between game and it happened to be pulled pork sandwiches for the players. While the players are funneling in they are changing the uniforms for game two for the night. We collect all of the uniforms from game one and treat them if needed and wash them. Also some players want their spikes cleaned off for the second game which one of us would be doing as they took them off and asked. Once the second game starts we hang up any personal laundry and all of the jerseys once they are done washing. We would never dry the jerseys or pants. Always let them air dry or they would shrink or get messed up due to the heat. The second game against the Knights the Triple A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox ended with a win 8-1. Once the game was over we had dinner already set up which happened to be from Carrabas. We then did our nightly duties that need to be taken care of such as cleaning and taking care of the players game laundry that needed washed for the following day.
April 30, 2017. Move Out Day.
The final day of the home stand is always the busiest day of the week due to all of the post-game activities that are going on. But today wouldn't be the case due to the fact that the team was going to Louisville they would leave the day of because it was such a short trip. We still showed up early in the morning to cook the players breakfast because the game was a 12:05 start. As the players funneled in they had brought all of their personal gear for the road trip in suitcases and we sat them down the hall for the following morning. Also while we were waiting around for certain things we were packing extra balls, uniforms, hats, and socks that the players might need on the road trip. Once the game starts we pull down each players travel bag and start to pack it with all road jerseys. Then we pack all of the road hats that they will be wearing in a hat bag. We also set up post-game meal which always on sunday or the end of a home stand is Qdoba. The clippers ending up falling again to the Knights 3-1. As the players came in we did our nightly duties but instead of hanging the personal gear in their locker we folded it and packed up the rest of their bags. We cleaned up the rest of the clubhouse and would return the following morning to load the buses up to send them on a short road trip.
May 1, 2017. On The Road Again.
Today the team would be leaving for another road trip to Louisville. the bus was planning on leaving Columbus around 9:30 in the morning. We had to arrive early and prep the rest of the equipment for the road trip so that the bus load would be quick and efficient. We had to arrive at the stadium around seven in the morning also with breakfast for the players in case they didn't eat before they came. The bus load typically takes about an hour so once the bus had arrived at the stadium we went to work. We had to make sure that all of the players personal luggage, travel bags were on first, then the trainers trunks were put on, the bats were last, along with the balls bags. Once all of the equipment was packed and ready to go the team went on the road. We then would move all of the players cars from the parking lot next to the stadium to the parking garage so nothing would happen to them while they were gone. We also had to clean the clubhouse up and just make sure that everything was in the places they needed to be.
May 3, 2017. Home Sweet Home.
The team would be heading back home from Louisville on this day after a short stint on the road. Unfortunately they fell to the Bats 5-3 which would make their four hour ride back to Columbus not as good as they would have hoped. The game was an early day game, with an off day to follow. Once the game had finished we came in and prepped everything to be moved back into the clubhouse. We moved players cars back over into the lot and renewed the parking passes for the following home stand. Once the players got back we unpacked all of the gear and washed all of their road uniforms that they had worn for the day. Also on this day we had a roster move with the Indians. They had sent Corey Kluber to the 10 day DL and recalled Joe Colon from Columbus.
May 5, 2017. Rain, Rain, Go Away.
On this day it was another interesting day with bad weather on the way towards Columbus and not knowing is it was going to hit or not. Throughout the day we had gone along with all of our game day duties. This started with making runs for players as they funneled into the stadium, making pre-game, making sure that the bat boys knew what was going on and everything for the players were in the right places. We would start the home stand off with turkey burgers for the players with a side of mac and cheese. As we inched closer to game time the weather had gotten worse and did not look promising through the night. the GM of the team, along with the head groundskeeper and umpires decided that the conditions would not be safe to play in. The game was postponed to a further date in the season. With the game getting canceled before game time the players funneled out quickly. this meant that we didn't have much to do for the night except clean a few things up for the night and go home.
May 6, 2017. Refreshed & Ready To Go.
On this day we showed up at normal time with it being a Saturday and the game being a later start. With the game being postponed the day before and having an off day before that the team was very refreshed and went through their normal routine with workouts, rehab, batting practice then game. As that was going on we made our daily runs for players that needed things as they came in and also started to prep for pre-game which today it would be chicken and steak quesadillas. Along with chicken tortilla soup. As the players came in from batting practice we collected all of their personal clothing and began to wash them as they had their meal. I also was setting up pre-game down in the dugout making sure that all of the players equipment was out and ready for them to take the field. The bat boys would show up and i would explain to them their nightly duties and get them gear for the game. As the game started we proceeded to hang up clothing from the day in the players lockers and also set up for post-game which would be Carrabas Italian grill. The clippers unfortunately lost 6-1 to the Indianapolis Indians the Triple A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. After losses it is very quiet and the players typically leave pretty fast. this means that we get our cleaning and set up for the next day done a lot faster than normal.
May 7, 2017. Move Out Day.
The night before our staff stayed in the clubhouse because today the home-stand would come to an end and the team would hit the road to go to Durham the Triple A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. But the players would come in early so we have to prepare breakfast for the guys and start prepping for the move out. As the players came in they had their luggage for the road trip and we would align it down the hall in an orderly fashion so when the charter buses got to the stadium we could load them up quickly. The team usually would not take batting practice on move out days just strictly hit in the cage. While the game was going on we packed their travel bags with all the equipment that they were not using during the game and they would finish after the game and we would load them on to the bus. During the game we also would load all of the players luggage onto the buses first and stock up the refrigerators with beverages for the team. The Clippers would fall again to the Indians. Once the game was over we collected all jerseys and pants to wash them once the move was complete. One person had to run down to the dugout and make sure that all the game equipment such as bats, gloves, helmets, etc made it upstairs and on the bus. We also had to make sure that the trainers trunks and the weight trunks mad it to the bus. As the players showered and ate their post-game which today was City Barbecue we would collect the bags that were complete with all of the gear and take it out to the bus. Once this was all done we were pretty much ready to send the team off and would make sure that we didn't forget anything. Once they left we finished doing the game laundry for that day and hanging it up, then would move all of the players cars over to the garage for the road trip and then take off until it was time to move the team back in.
May 14, 2017. Back Home.
On this day the team would be coming back from a week road trip from Gwinnett, the Triple A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The team instead of driving back from Atlanta would fly back so the game was held later than usual. This mean that the team was getting in around midnight from the airport. This meant that we would come in about an hour and a half before the team got back and start to move cars back from the parking garage. Also we would prep things that we could make sure the move in goes fast and efficiently. The only downfall to the team flying in. meant that their game equipment would be bused back from Atlanta which meant that it wouldn't be back until really early in the morning. This would mean that once the players were back and gone from the stadium we would sleep a few hours at the stadium and wake up to unload when the equipment got to the stadium. Once this happened it would take a few hours to unload all of the equipment and get everything hung up and washed for the next day. Since we had to be back around noon the next day we would typically just sleep a few more hours and get ready at the stadium before the players arrived to do their daily activities.
May 15, 2017. The Winning Way.
The players would start funneling in around one in the afternoon and do what they needed to do now that they were back at home. This meant getting rehab/ treatment, working out and preparing for the team that was coming in. The Indianapolis Indians would be coming in for a five game home stand including a double header for the second day of the home stand. While the players were coming in we were stocking up all the food and drinks for the week for the players and finishing up a few small things from the night before. As they went out to take batting practice for the day we would prepare pre-game for the players as usual. Today we would be serving pork loin and brussel sprouts. As they funneled in we would continue to grab all of the laundry that needed to be washed from batting practice and wash it as they would eat. I would continue to set up all game day equipment down in the dugout and prepare the bat boys with whatever they needed for the game. As the game started we would hang up all of the laundry and clean up the clubhouse a little bit for the players after the game. We would also meet with the caterer for the post game meal and set that up for the players. The Clippers would end up winning 5-4 against their division rival. After the game the clubhouse was upbeat but they players would funnel out quickly with the double header the following day.
May 16, 2017. Long Day Ahead.
Double header day are very laid back until the start of the game. The only thing that us as clubhouse guys should worry about is laundry, cleats, and meals before, in between games, and after. The players would funnel in earlier with the game being a day-night double header. This means that the first game would be played in the early afternoon and the second game would be played a few hours after the end of the first game or at what would be normal start time for a single game. Before the first game we had a light lunch provided for the players as we cooked Italian sausages, with a side of brussel sprouts. During the first game there wasn't much laundry to do because players showed up close the start of the game and really just did a few quick workouts and went out to the field for the first game. The first game the Clippers fell to the Indians 5-1 in a tough loss. After the game we take care of the laundry that the players wore during the first game. Also we make sure that all of their personals that they wore under their uniforms are washed and ready for the second game. During the time between games, some players go and get food or they hang out and have us run around for them. This is usually a busy time. Also they have a mid game meal which usually we have the concessions crew make some chicken for the players to have. Some eat, but other prefer to get food from other locations around the city. Before the second game even starts most of the laundry is passed out and hung up to dry. This makes the second game a lot of time that we have to get a few small things done instead of worrying about laundry. For Post game we have to caterer bring food again. the Clipper took a hard loss for the second game 9-0 from the Indians. The locker room was down and a lot of players were in and out really quick after the game. this allowed us to cleans and make sure that everything was taken care of after the game quickly so that were were able to go home and get some rest for the following couple of days.
May 17, 2017. Back To Normal.
Today would be taken as a normal day we would show up around noon with players starting to come in around one in the afternoon. The players would come in and get extra treatment from our training staff following a double header. They would continue to lift and workout before batting practice. We would run normal errands for the players if they needed anything. Today we wouldn't prepare pre-game but would go and pick it up. Today we would be having Chick-Fil-A for the players which they liked a lot was one of their favorite meals before the game. We would also serve Sushi with the Chick-Fil-A. After we were done picking these items up from their locations for the players they started to funnel in from batting practice. We would collect batting practice uniforms and wash them for the players for the following day. While they had dinner i would set up all of the equipment in the dugout and take care of the bat boys for the night. Once the game started the bat boys were on their own and we continued to take care of things in the clubhouse. Tonight we would be serving the players Texas Roadhouse for post game which I would typically go and pick up from the location that we had it catered in from. By the time I got back most of the game would be typically be completed. The Clippers fell again to the Indians for the third straight time 8-4. The following day was move out day which made the players get in and out after the game which made our job a little easier. Except the following day was a day game and also move out day so we stayed at the stadium.
May 18, 2017. Adios Columbus.
Another move out day after a short stint at home was upon us. The Clippers would finish up their home stand against the the Indianapolis Indians and head out on the road to Louisville. The clippers would bring in all of their luggage for the trip ahead and during the day before the game they would pack their travel bag with all of their equipment for the road trip and during the game we would finish them up for after the game. We would not zip them up and take them until after the game when they told us they were finished or they were zipped up themselves without us doing them. the players would come in around normal time and take normal batting practice after their poor stint against the Indians. We would be making Italian subs for the players on this day for their pre-game meal. We would take care of all of the laundry that needed to be done and take care of the rest of the equipment that the players and coaches needed out in the dugout. During the game we were prepping post game meal which was Qdoba today. The Clippers ended up falling for the fourth straight game 4-2 to the Indians. After the game the bus would be leaving an hour after the game. During the game we had already started packing the buses up with the luggage. We then proceeded to pack up the weight trunk, the trainers trunk, the coaches trunk, then we started to pack up all of the travel bags. The last things that we would pack up is all of the game equipment such as the bats, helmets, and extra baseball and weighted balls for the players. After the bus was gone we proceeded to park cars in the garage down the road from the stadium to ensure nothing happened while they were gone. After this we cleaned up the clubhouse and made sure everything was good before we left.
May 21, 2017. Here We Come Columbus.
On this day the Clippers would be heading back to Columbus from a short road trip in Louisville against the bats. The team would be getting back around eight at night so we would be heading into the stadium around six thirty that night to move players cars back to the stadium for the players to have for the week. While we were waiting for the players to get back from Louisville we were prepping things for the following home stand and for the players to get back home. As soon as the players got back we unpacked all of the equipment and moved it back into the clubhouse and made sure that all of the essentials were in the places they needed to be for all of the players. We washed and hung up the road uniforms and personals that were worn for that day. We cleaned up any cleats that needed to be scrubbed and cleaned for the following home stand. The last thing that we would take care of would be to make a list of the things that we needed for the following week such as food, drinks, and pre- game meals.
May 23, 2017. Roster Moves.
On this day there would be some roster moves that took place from the previous few weeks. the Cleveland Indians Assigned RHP Carlos Frias outright to Columbus (IL). Agreed to terms with OF David Lough on a minor league contract. We would also be starting the next home stand of the season. This home stand would be going up agaisn the Scranton-Wilkes-Berry Railriders the Triple A affiliate of the New York Yankees. This would be one of the best teams in the division. The players would start coming in around normal time. Most would workout and then get treatment throughout the day. The players would head out to batting practice and we would start to prep the pre-game meal for the day which would be meatball subs. As the players came in from batting practice and individual workouts we would collect the batting practice uniforms and start to wash them. We would also collect the shower towels that were used before the game and get them washed, dried, and folded before the end of the game each and every night. I would also go down to the dugout and take care of all the equipment that needed to be taken care of. The bat boys would be explained their roles and what they would be doing before, during, and after the game. Once the game started the caterer showed up and we took care of post game for the players and cleaned up the locker room and hung up all the personal clothing that was worn for batting practice. The Clippers would get back on track at home and win the game 6-3. After the game the locker room was in a better mood and most of the guys hung around for a little while after the game which slowed up our process, but we were still able to clean everything up and get all of the laundry hung up for the following day.
May 24, 2017. Keep Grinding.
On this day it was taken as a normal day that the players showed up in the middle of the day to start their workouts, hitting in the cages, and treatment on their bodies from the previous night. Today the their were no roster moves, but there was word around the locker room and from my boss that a move would be happening soon they just were sure on the details. this meant that we would be having to clear some locker space for call ups and possibly people that could be sent down on a rehab assignment. Today for pre-game we would be making ham and grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of tomato soup. After batting practice we would continue our normal assignments where we would collect all of the batting practice uniforms from the players and get them ready for the following day. Also on this night we would have a few new bat boys that didn't know exactly what they would be doing and they were nervous that they would mess up. I explained to them what they would be doing but my boss and I had a discussion about the situation and we both decided that during the first couple innings that I sit down in the dugout and make sure that things went smoothly with the new bat boys. Once I was done with this we would be having Texas Roadhouse for dinner this night so I immediately left to go and pick it up in my car for the guys. Once I got back to the game was practically almost over and we had to hustle around to get things ready before it was almost over. The Clippers unfortunately fell to Scranton 5-0. They never truly could get anything started on this night. It was a very quick night after the game with players leaving pretty fast after the game. This allowed for us to get our jobs done quickly so that we could take off a little quicker than normal.
May 25, 2017. Internship Complete.
On this day the Cleveland Indians made one roster move and that was to place Lonnie Chisenhall on the seven day disabled list. Other than that it was an average day and pretty normal for all of the players when they came in for the day. This allowed all of the players to get the workouts and practice they needed before batting practice. For this day we would be making mexican for pre-game with beef tacos, Chicken, and steak quesadillas. Once they came we did out average nightly duties with collecting the uniforms that they wore out to the field and treating the uniforms that were dirty from batting practice. I would still go down to the dugout and take care of all the equipment for the start of the game and clean up things from batting practice so that the dugout was presentable to any fans that walked through it for the first pitch and for the players when they came out for the game. While I was taking care of the dugout i noticed that sky was a little dark and to our knowledge some inclement weather moving into Columbus and were not sure of the game would be played or no . The game was delayed or pushed back multiple times and the GM, head groundskeeper, and umpires decided that the playing conditions would not be safe for anybody so the game was postponed to a further date. This would be an interesting day because not only did the game get canceled but my internship hours would be complete and my boss and I would start the talks about me coming back full time for the following year once I had graduated. I would proceed to help out the rest of the year and got paid as an intern but most of the time I was working full time hours and making management decisions on my own throughout the rest of my time in the summer as if I was working full time for the organization. the talks are still up in the air and will be further talked about closer to graduation and closer to the new season.
